  • Security on manual door locks?

I am very soon going to be putting in my security system (/w the remote start!) but my question is how the hell can i do it with manual door locks?

Ive heard u gotta get actuators somewhere.

    Is this true?
    Where?
How much do they usually cost?

    Thanks a bunch.

Circuit City has them. I think I the employee price was something like $25 a door installed when I asked, but that wasn't an exact figure and I haven't had them done. You would wire them to the keyless entry. If you're just getting an alarm and remote start you can keep the manual locks.

I used these actuators when I added keyless entry to my wife's car which was only equipped with manual locks. Been using them for almost a year and they still work strong. Local shops in my area wanted 20-30bucks just for one actuator.
