JBL is making a great line of amps right now, but I wouldn't go with the Bp1200.1 unless wanna blow the sub. If you just have one 12" I would go with the JBL bp300.1 or possibly the 600.1 with the gain turned down.

Memphis also makes a nice line of class D amps but they are a little more expensive

JBL 600.1 would be a good choice. I was thinking that slam picked one of those up for like $150 or so.

go with my amp....its the best quality manufactured amp manufactured right now....i hace a micro dimension pro8.1x amp...oh never mind its too much power for one sub...forgot about that....however if you get another sub keep it in mind...its rated at 800w rms, but the test on it shows to be 860w/ rms...its also very expensive though. :D

Well, he said 13W3V2's which I think means more then 1... so if you have two the JBL 600.1 would be perfect. If more then 2, step it up to the JBL 1200.1

v6maro.... if you can find the december 2001 issue of car audio, and in about the middle of the book you will find the write up. There is my proof. My amp is 1600 watts which is more than the JL 500/1, dont get me wrong JL makes really good amps as well, but if you wanted a better amp and more power id go with the Micro Dimension, its also way more expensive so its your decision, what ever you do dont go with JBL, they are cheap a$$ amps, my friend went through two of them before he took it in and got it tested, JBL said it was a 600.1 which is supposed to be 600watts, it was tested and only put out 470 watts. They are crappy in my opinion. Go with quality...you said you were going with JL which IS a good amp. :D

Also to add v6maro, my amp is rated at 800w rms, but its also underated, its actually pushing 900wats rms which is 1800watts peak. I pushed 3 12"He2s in my ext. cab xtreme and my roof sunk in the 2 inches, it was crazy loud. :D

Dont have a scanner, if you go to www.soundobsessions.com and look around in the products area click on the micro dimension link and it will bring up my amp, its the Micro Dimension Pro8.1dx pr xd something like that. Its rated at 800w rms on the site but soundobsessions that actually did my set up said that they have been getting feedback saying its way underrated. These guys here have the second or first louded van in Canada, they know theyre ****. There next promo vehicle is going to have like 20 of my amps. Its gonna be sweet. ;)
