the amount of cubes you get will be smaller most likely. plus, megabasses will probably be of better build quality and its a more personal deal.\'96 <b>Quasar Blue</b> Firebird A4<br /><a href=\"http://jamiethekiller@comcast.net\" target=\"_blank\"><i>jamiethekiller@comcast.net</i></a><br /><a href=\"http://www.woodlandrock.com\" target=\"_blank\">my band: woodland</a>

The ones with vinyl take a lot more time. When you cover a box with vinyl, everything shows. You can even see and feel tiny specs of dirt or saw dust if you don't get it smooth and clean enough. So it takes a ton of sanding to get the surface smooth enough and hiding the fastners is tricky too. I hire a professional to apply the vinyl on the vinyl'd boxes and the guy doesn't work for free. So I have to cover the cost of his expertise. Not to mention the fact that vinyl cover costs quite a bit more than what carpet does.
The carpeted boxes I do myself and they don't require as much prep work or time as the vinyl'd version. I also leave off the side trim on the fully carpeted ones. That cuts some time out of it too which lowers the cost.
