Hey guys...im looking to upgrade my factory head unit to a nice one. Maybe 145$ at the most? Dont need MP3 just cd player. Prefferably a good brand, Alpine, Pioneer..Any reccomendations? If it was lit with blue thats a plus...

Im not even sure if I have the monsoon system lol..I dont think so...I have 2 speakers in the very front one in each door, 2 speakers on each side in the back seat and two small ones in the very back of the hatch.

Ok now after that I was thinkin about getting new speakers for the spots in the back seat and maybe the ones in the front if I can afford it, right behind the driver and passenger headrests id like just subs or a speaker that puts out really nice bass...how big are those speakers in the back and front seat and would you guys reccomend anything specific?

    Thanks!

For your head unit, Look on ebay. My HU was $375 installed at a local audio store then I found it on ebay for $150. I normally buy all my audio online but was too impatient to orer it then wait. If you plan on getting new speakers then replace your front speakers first. your frontstage sound is the most important. Get a nice set of component (woofer and tweeter are seperate and usuall comes with crossovers)

First, read our FAQ thread at the top of the forum and mod ency. This will tell you the door codes for the Monsoon system. Before you start selecting particular products, you should be sure if you have the Monsoon system or not.

The two front speakers and the ones in the rear seat should be 6.5 inches. The ones in the hatch area should be 6x9s and those would be the most powerful ones.
