Wire brand isn't as important as selecting the right gauge for your application. You have to ask yourself how much current will your amp draw (10 amps or 50) and use this to select the right wire size. You should find plenty of articles on the web that suggest the proper wire size for your power needs.
To Quote Mr. 96, for the most part wire is wire. Different brands may have a little better insulation, though. Depending on your install, it may be worth it to spend a few more cents per foot on a wire with more durable insulation.1997 Camaro, Y87 Perf.
