  • Help with new system-sub and amp decision

Right now I have the four speaker system in my Camaro and the only modification is Infinity Reference 6.5" speakers all around.

I was going to leave it that way, but I found out today that I can get 70% off of retail on MTX stuff, so I think I'm going to go with at least a sub and an amp.

I'm pretty sure I want to keep it looking stock, so I'm looking at an MTX Stealthbox. It looks like it would be cheaper to get the loaded stealthbox with a 10" sub and a seperate MTX amp, but I'm not sure what would be easier.

I think I want to keep the stock headunit, so do I need to get a PAC OEM-2? The instructions MTX has says to splice into the speaker wire, but then shows a diagram of a wire going to the HU, or at least I'm seeing it that way.

If I get the OEM-2 would it be hard to run my speakers off the amp too? Is the OEM-2 necessary if I just go with the sub and amp, or would it work just as well or at all to splice into the speaker wire?
