I am going to a VERY good audio shop and this is what they quoted me. For 2 12inch MTX thunder 6000s boxed in custom boxes that they make for the cubies, one 1000W amp, one 600wat amp, componet speakers up frount, a cross over, and all the amp kits and wiring that it needs for 450 installed.

well it's kinda hard to judge if it's a good price b/c we don't know any of your equipment. For all we know they could be using some radio shack gear. Find out what brand and series amps and components he will be using.
Also ask him what kind of power wire he will be running. If the amp is really 1k watts he needs to run at LEAST 4 gauge to it.Comment

Even not knowing the gear..... he said it was a "VERY good audio shop". The lowest brand I see a good shop carrying is Sony or Pioneer. And two custom stealth boxes? Is that what I'm hearing? Even not knowing brand or model numbers..... sound like a steal to me. :cool:Comment

If they are doing "very good" installation on your car with sub par equip, I still think 4 and a half is a really good price. It may not be the quality you are looking for, but if the work is good-then you are getting a heck of a deal. You say that the place is reliable huh?
