I just got stopped by some dumb cop for speeding, he didn't give a ticket but told me that I needed to fix my tail lamp. I know the lamp is not out but half of it is. I replaced all the bulbs, but when i checked it the right side bulb closest to the firebird decal is really low, then the reserve bulb seemed to be the same. my guess is to get new tail lamp sockets, or whatever they are called. Do you know where I can get them online?? I have no time to go out to buy them becuase i go to school, then football, and hten work plus homework. thanks

1) Slow down.
2) Busted tail lights aren't cool for the person driving behind you. It sounds like you've got a bulb in a little wrong. Try pulling out the dim bulb while being careful to note which way the bulb is contected. Rotate the bulb 180 degrees so the contacts are switched. Our brake lights are dual filaments and if you put them in upside down, they don't light up correctly. Give this a try since it's free, then look into replacing parts.
3) Don't be offended by my opinions. I used to drive way too fast. Now I understand why insurance is so high for 18-24 year old males, we drive like IDIOTS!!! :D :D I guess I've calmed down a little with age. I still get on it sometimes, just not all the time! Trust me, driving 5 mph slower will get you there in the same amount of time as well as save you some gas! I second that. Unless you're really getting on the gas and going highway speeds, you're still gonna get caught at the same stop light you would have if you had gone the limit.
I was gonna mention this earlier, but decided not to. Now that i'm already posting something, might as well.
Why is the cop the dumb one? You got caught.

geeeez... that was your feeling for him since he let you of with a warning to fix your taillight. sounds like a pretty good guy if you ask me. Why's everyone gotta be so down on the cops, you're the one that was speeding, if you don't wanna get caught doing something, don't do it. Simple as that.
As for your light thing, if you take the bulbs and put them in the same place respectively on the other side, is the light out put the same? That'll let you know if it's the bulb or the wiring. Make sure those wires are grounded the way that they should be, that could also be why you're getting some dimmer output.Mike
\'99 Z28 LS1 (383 in the works) M6
stereo pics Almost sold, the amps are still for sale - make an offer.
Help Mike pay for his engine. i've tried all that, thanks for the help though. Seems like the socket things are a little rusted on both those bulbs, do u know where i could purchase this piece?
I know it was my fault that he stopped me, I was just pissed cause I had a bad practice and then that happened.2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6
M6, Magnaflow\'s 14336
C6 Pics

Old car:
1996 Firebird A4
SLP Cold Air Intake
Magnaflow Catback Exhaust
Magnaflow Catalytic Converter

George Mason University
CEIE Major
Pi Kappa Alpha

Firebird Pics
