  • HELP with Alarm...searched but no real help

Ok when i was doing some electrical stuff on my car i disconnected the battery and since i plugged it back in it reset my alarm which i did not install it was preinstalled by previous owner. but now my car arms itself automatically after i get out and its annoying i want to disconnect it and i've searched and searched...this is what i came up with that was closely related

now i took apart my dash and all i found was a sensor about the size of a pager with a flashy light on it and it seems to juz lead to the horn in my engine bay..if theres a brain somewhere else i cant find it any help would be appriciated this things annoying! thanks...

sometimes the alarm has settings to set featuers you have to use your keychain remote by pressing the buttons in difference sequiences example my alarm i cant cut the valet on unless i hit 1 once and then 2 in a simultanious order.

does that "horn" look like a siren? Is there a model number on it? It arms itself, but is it an aftermarket alarm arming or is it your factory alarm arming?

Sounds like somebody added an aftermarket module to the factory alarm. You might wanna take it to your local alarm/car audio shop and ask them to look at it.

          Just my .02 cents
