  • Need "hot wire" under the hood

I am mostly ignorant of car electrical systems so bear with my question.

I bought a air horn (134 db, I dare someone to cut me off now!) and I need to find a wire to provide power to the electric air compressor. Anyone have suggestions on the best way to provide power to it? Should I use an existing wire, or run a wire from somewhere?

There's a small, red box near the battery with a post inside of it. It's connected directly to the battery(+). Just run a wire from there.

I think the last few years or so GM did away with that little red box located near the battery. It was there on my 94 Firebird but it's not on my 02. Another location to tap into would on the Driver's side. There's a main power wire (+) located there with a red plastic cap covering it. See Pic

And If you need a ground, you can use that ground point that is directly above the + terminal in the pic.
