Cheap fix for blown stock speaker?

I blew a speaker a few weeks ago, and as a result none of the others work - at least this is what the guy at circuit city told me. I looked at some speakers and came to the conclusion that if I was going to replace all the speakers in my car, I would have to spend $500+ on parts alone. I looked at alpine and infinity speakers. I do not have anywhere near $500. What would you do in my place?

i really doubt that man.... open it up take that one blown speaker out.... make sure the positive and negative wires arent touching... if nothing still comes on... check the fuse on the back of ur deck if there is one.

check on ebay for a cheap stock speaker.
fbodysalvage.com (not sure that is the correct url, but it is something like that) might also be helpful too.
