How to get the power windows to work after cars off and doors open
Ok well I decided to make a home made window up-down wireless switch..I bought this http://www.electronickits.com/kit/co...lec/ck1616.htm and was planning on putting wiretaps on the drivers side window switches...my problem here is that when the car is off it doesnt allow them to go up and down so this would leave me bypassing the switches...buying more relays and hooking it straight up to the motor....it would be much easier just to get the car to put power to the motors for like a minute after the car stops and the door opens...anyone have any ideas??...Im gonna look in my haynes manual tonight to look at the wiring diagrams...maybee it'll help me??
You really don't want to wire those modules in to the switches in the drivers door panel. You want to be on the WINDOW MOTOR side of the Express down module which is what sends sends the driver's window down after a simple tap of the switch. If you don't put it on the window motor side of that module, you'll burn out the window motor. This is not a cheap thing. It will work for a while. I know this from experience.
