Only way I found to get that to work is with Illusion audio equipment http://www.illusionaudio.com/docs/luccent_rd.htm ,most other subs have too deep of a mounting depth to get to work.

Those don’t look like a good woofers. Also the mounting depth I believe is 3” + you can work something out with wooden frame. There is allways an option to cut the inner frame..

I found a guy on the other forum who did it, and he said that his 8” with 3-5/8" MD fits with no problem and when you put speaker cover back – looks like factory.

I dont suggest anything but quality equipment, those are excellent woofers for this application. They have great SQ and their slim mounting depth makes them much easier to install than other woofers.

Those are available in our village and I would like to Punch them in. I would like them better if the name would be like RockPontiac or GMRocksfosgate

Rockfords are loud but i wouldnt suggest them for sonic accuracy. Elemental designs makes a good 8" that is loud and sounds good for less than you will be able to find that rockford for. The Illusions were what i was going to go with though when i was looking into doing this. Read up on them on some high end car audio pages and you will see how good they are. Also rather than going 8" you could try a pair of elemental design's 6.5 woofers like i'm going too. Elementals Eu-700 is pretty cool, check it out here http://edesignaudio.com/product.php?...=Specs&cur=USD

Yes , those look nice. Ive got a pair of rockford 8" for really cheap and got them right away. I was waiting for my JL6w0 s for 6 weeks and finally cancelled the order, couldn’t wait any longer.
Gonna post the instructions on how to 6.5 to 8 upgrade soon!

Could always take the back seat out and do some work there. Never enough room for 4 people anyways. I have never played arround with IA. Rockfod is a decent system, at higher db they loose SQ. Do you want to be Loud, Clean, or Both?

That's beautiful man. I wish I had the room to go that far with my car.
