The Zeb......I'm Impressed

I ordered some components from TheZeb.com over the weekend and received an email today saying the components will be delayed for 7 days since they were out of stock. They offered to supplement another set of components for the same price so I didn't have to wait, which I thought was nice of them. I'm in no hurry so I'm just going to wait till they come in, plus I still need to buy an amp yet anyway. I just thought it was nice of them to send me a "real" email instead of one of those generic automated ones you get from some places.

Very cool. But, actually, I think they should have been listed as out of stock when you bought them. Not to bring the Zeb down... but that's something many people would like to know before they purchase. You should have asked for the eurosports in place of them. :D

So what would be the next step up from the 61A's....the HD's? The ones they offered as a supplement were CDT-61T's (which use a titanium dome tweeter). I only like silk domed tweeters.

yeah, the T's seem a little harsh to me so i would stick with the silks. And yes the HD's are the next level up... or maybe the EF's but ask if they could swing some HD's your way (doesnt hurt to ask). If you end up with the HD's then you got the best deal ever.

Just a note, much of the "harshness" that many people often complain about is simply due to the increase in efficiency over silk dome tweets.

I don't think they are going to cut me a deal. I sent out an email asking if they could cut me a deal on some EF's or HD's but they never responded this time. :(

Are the EF's decent? For 50-bucks more they have the cdt EF-61. they handle a little more power (120 rms).

i have actually only heard them once, and they did not have a great amp feeding them, so i cant say how much of a difference there really is between them and and CL's.

You're right, they should start posting something on their site showing they are out of stock. I got a phone call from them today and they said the (cdt ef-61) I asked about were also not in stock at the moment. I'm beginning to wonder if anything they sell is in stock.
