So I notice that my two JL 10w0's do not sound as good as they should so I took one out and realized I have JL10w0-8 ohm... I thought they were 4 ohms this whole time. I am currently powering them with a 600 watt 4-channel Audiovox (god knows how old it is but it was free). Would I be able to power both of them with this amp ? Also, just because they're 8 ohm subs, I can run them at 4 ohms, correct?

I just found this wiring diagram. Also, the Phoenix gold website said that their mono amps make max power at 2 ohms and I can onnly achieve a 4 ohm load so would I be better off getting a two channel amp and wiring both + and - terminals of the subs together and hook them up to each channel of a 2-channel amp?
I was thinking this amp if that's the case.
Sorry for the long questions, I did a search and just started to confuse myself.

Firs off, thanks a lot for you help man...
After learning a little about ohms and what not, I think that when I run my subs at a 4 ohm load, I could get this two channel amp. The reason why I'm going power acoustik is because I can get it cheap through my friend and I don't need the best of the best.
Also, is that second diagram I have correct? is there a way to get a 4 ohm load w/o bridging the amp?
If I do that, it will just be an 8 ohm load right? (It's wierd because I have two + and - terminals on both subs but they're single voice coil)

BTW why do you want an 8 ohm load? the lower the ohm load the more power to ya.

oh, sorry man, I'm not wanting an 8 ohm load... I'm just trying to understand the wiring that's all. I want a 4 ohm load. I think I'll do what you said and connect one sub to the other and hook that sub up to the 2 channel amp bridged which is 600 x 1 @ 4 ohms giving 300 watts to each sub. I was trying to find a way to get a 4 ohm load w/o bridging (is that possible)?

ummmm if i am looking at the diagram right that has the two channels running together which you probably wouldnt want to do. My suggestion is to just run in parrallel with an elemental designs nine.2 amp bridged. this would render a 4ohm load with 400wrms total power giving 200wrms to each sub wich would be optimal. A better choice would be the nine.1 amp because your THD would be lower but it is more money (money well spent imho).
