door panel lights

are the lights in the doors on firebird 12v or something different ( i am talking about the light that shines on the door handle inside the car) i was thinking of using that wire to power something else and i need to know if its twelve volt i dont have a voltage meter and i dont want to go through taking off the door panel just for a trial and error so if someone knows i would appreciate it

yes it is 12v. what are you planning on running from it though? you dont want to try and pull too much power through it.

yeah I bet the little lights inside the door use too much power [img]graemlins/slap.gif[/img]

there is now one led in each of my door panels in the little try part that runs to the speakers its a pretty cool little mod if i do say so myself
