I'm about to replace the monsoon system in my 2000 camaro. I know there is the amp in the back, but I was wondering how it gets it's power? I'm hoping that it's right from the battery so that I can just take out the amp, put a distributor on the power line and run my two new amps from it.

you need at least 8 gauge for 2 amps, most likely 4 or 2 or 0 gauge if the amps are decent.
