How to activate security alarm quietly

i did a search but couldnt find anything.

I sometimes come home late night and when i activate the alarm it honks really loudly speacially at that time of the night.

is there anyway to activate the alarm silently just when i want.. not permanently.

oh.. i read this before.. if i cativate the alarm with door open and itd oesnt honk.. i did that but as soon as i shut the door.. it honks twice.

You need to go into the cars programming mode. You can set it to flash only when locking/arming. Make sure your radio is either unlocked or you have the code handy before you pull the radio fuse.

while your getting out of the car (door open) lock the doors with the switch on the door panel. get out, close the door. your lights will flash and your system is armed, and no noise [img]smile.gif[/img]

Mine didn't - I locked the car at the drivers door and when I shut it nothing happened. The red light stayed off/alarm didn't arm. Must have a different setting programmed.

I do this all the time when I come in after curfew ;)
