  • Why Wont It Work?

Ok I just finished connecting my amp. I connected my sub to amp, my amp to battery, ground, audio cable, and remote. Its all done but it dosent make any noise at all. The red power light on my amp is on but nothing works. Do you have any idea what may be wrong?
    Thanks,
    Dustin

Also, depending on what kind of headunit you're using..... make sure you have whichever RCA outputs on the back of the headunit is activated/turned on. Some have that option.

and make sure if you have more than one place to connect the RCAs that they are in the correct spot haha.

I doubt its ground if the red power light is on, check all other connections..

its possible the amp has enough ground to turn on but as soon as it wants to put out watts the ground isnt good enough its happen to me before so its possible

get a meter, and confirm your getting 12V at the amp for both the constant and the remote.

Make sure you sand down the area where you grounded the amp.

Thanks for all the replies. I went back over it with a friend who know about subs and stuff and we worked it out. I must have goofed connecting the speaker wire from the amp to the sub.
                    Thanks again.
