here we go........

about 2 weeks ago my sound system went out completly. right now it sounds like there is no bass whatsoever, and what is being playing sounds like its comming from a hollow can

i went to good guys and asked the electronics guy to come out and listen to it to tell me what the prob was.

He told me that my old system is gone. basically im gonna need a new system, and that aftermarket speakers, and amp wont work with my stock headunit.

my question is, do our sound systems just die all of the sudden? am i getting jerked around?

now im lookin at around 900 bucks to replace the whole sysytem. 320 for headunit, 400 for the amp
150 for both front speakers. (i dont want to buy rear ones, or a sub right now cause that will cost me even more!

what should i do??? again, is this guy yankin my chain or being honest?
I guess I\'d have answer your question with another question.

How many Abidiginals do you see in modeling??????

headers, 3inch magnaflow cat, Loudmouth
99 Midnight Blue Firebird
3.8L A4

even if you did need to replace it all, those prices are very high.

use pioneer stuff. its pretty good quality for the money

You can find a decent Pioneer radio for $200
        Front Speakers......$60-$100
        2 ch amp.......... $150
        8 awg wiring......$30

        your looking at $480 bux.

Altough i would reccomend that you get components for the front.

The guy is rippin you. You CAN keep the stock head unit and replace EVERYTHING. YES, with the monsoon system. This thread should answer just about every question you could have. And those prices had better include installation, because they are a little high. Yes, it depends on the gear. But I can get a pretty good guess. As far as what's wrong with your stock system, I have no idea. But MANY people complain about blown sail panel speakers.....
