Do Security Systems Really Work???

Well, I just had my car broke into [img]graemlins/crybaby.gif[/img] got almost everything stolen. Bout 75 cds gone, my alpine head and 12 disk changer. They drilled threw my door, then ripped it all out with a screwdriver. Would a security system have prevented that?

one thing depends on if ur cars going to get broke into or not... WHERE YOU PARK! If it was in front of your house YES it would have stopped it because the alarm would have went off.. therefor waking at least someone around your house if not you to hear it. If it was in the middle of a parking lot.. MAYBE depending on again The type of surroundings.. small city yes sum1 will look. if ur in a big city where u hear that shiz all the time and dont even bother to look.. porbably not... sorry man.... best bet these days is to get one of the FM pager ones... can page u from ½ mile to 1 mile depeding on the one u buy....

I know how you feel man. Alarms do work, but not when you don't turn them on because your car is sitting in the comfort of your own driveway :( . Not too long ago someone walked up to my car & opened my unlocked door & took $2000 worth of stuff. I learned my lesson not to trust anybody. I guess everybody has to learn that lesson. But yeah...an alarm is a definate necessity (sp?) to a stereo system. Oh...and the stickers that come with your stereo equipment...put em on your trumpet case, burn them, whatever you do...don't get them anywhere near your car. They are theif magnets. I hate it for you though bro. Better luck w/your next system. Be careful too!
