  • Amp + Subs

Ok i almost have my system. i have 2 Infinity Reference 1232w that are going to be powered by Rockford p5002 and running those is a Dual XD7500 HU! Now all that i need is a box and wiring kit got any ideas? Will that amp power the 2 Reference Subs?? thats my first question and my second is would u recommend buying a box or making one. i like to listen to rap mostly so im going to need a sealed box. please and if u know where to get a wiring kit let me know and what size should i get! i already said this but will that amp be good for my subs?

Well for that amp i would go with a 4 gauge wiring kit. I buy mine from knukonseptz

And you can get a regular selaed box for your subs from any flea market for like 60 bucks. Or you can go to an audio shop and have them custom make you a box and port it.

actually for rap i would tell you to look into a ported box. Its more work to build your own with ports but its the only way to do it and get it tuned right without spending a ton of money on the box. Its not that bad to make your own box either, just read up on it. That amp should be more than enough for those subs (in other words dont turn the gain all the way up). The HU is your weak point in this system and i would recomend upgrading it if you want to get any decent sq out of this system (clarion will be your best best bang for the buck). Use 4 guage wire for the amp and run it down either passenger or driver side and then your RCA's down the other side so prevent interference/distortion. good luck, with the install.

You will only blow your subs if you distort them or when you start clipping the amp a lot.

Making a box in an F Body car is a challenge because the box has a lot of angles and all.

Depending on your skill of carpentry if you can pull it off or not..
