i noticed the other day the the 2 speakers in the rear hatch quick working, the tweeters still work but not the speakers, i used another speaker as a tester, checked fuses, connections, tried another monsoon cd player, nothing, they will not work anymore, can anybody help me out here?

well for future reffrence if you ever want to see if a speaker is blown insted of going through changing decks and all that just cut wires and add two wires to the speaker you want to test, then connect to a 9volt battery dont matter if neg topos or vise versua but if they work the speaker will "pop" but other then that if there blown just go to the ency and check where it says how to replace the monsoon speakers cheaply or what ever hope that helps

Don't even bother replacing them, you won't hear them anyways. Mine are disconnected because they didn't work either.

replace your system, all of it, monsoon=junk every speaker will go out eventually, there is 1 monsoon speaker left in my firebird, and it is soon to be replaced after my b-day

It's not so much that the hatch 4"ers are 2ohm as it is the amp doesn't power them, that's why they hardly make a difference. I'm replacing mine with a set of Infinity Kappas, I'll let ya'll know how much of a difference it makes pre/post amp.

And bah, why is there just ONE Monsoon speaker left in your car lol? Is it even possible to buy a single aftermarket speaker?

Did you ever find a reason why the speakers stopped working?
I would like to know as mine have about 1% of the output
                they used to have.
