Re: L5 or L7
What are the specs on that amp? Can't seem to find them anywhere. I have 2 12" L5s, and those slam hard enough. I can't imagine how hard those L7s would slam.Don\'t Ever Judge Me
\'96 Firebird Y87 3.8L V6 5spd
--No mods as of yet, shoot me some ideas if ya want.
178,000 miles and counting

Re: L5 or L7
I have a single 12' L5 hooked up to an orion 600.1 (1200w at 1 ohm) and it pounds. Sounds a million times louder and better than my 2 old comps did. I would say it depends on your budget. The only difference in the subs is the L5 can handle 600rms and the L7 can handle 750, correct me if i'm wrong on that.
Either way you go I strongly suggest buying from ebay. I found my L5, brand new still sealed up in factory plastic for $146 shipped. Thats less than half of the price at any retail store.1998 Camaro V6 \"Black Mamba\"
Y87
Whisper Lid w/ K&N filter
Flowmaster American Thunder
Numerous appearance mods.
Car Domain

Re: L5 or L7
With that amp there's no point in getting the L7's b/c you arent going to be able to give them what they can handle.1998 Camaro V6 \"Black Mamba\"
Y87
Whisper Lid w/ K&N filter
Flowmaster American Thunder
Numerous appearance mods.
Car Domain

Re: L5 or L7
I suppose you are correct. My L5 is the 2ohm DVC coil version so that's where I was getting my logic.1998 Camaro V6 \"Black Mamba\"
Y87
Whisper Lid w/ K&N filter
Flowmaster American Thunder
Numerous appearance mods.
Car Domain
