Upgrading system.

Sold the 12L7 thinking of upgrading. I was thinking a single Alpine Type R new ones its going to be in my Supra 89. I want it to get the loundest it can but also(with the right amp) I'm looking for some sq. Ported of Sealed? Or any other suggestions for a sub? I have $239 to spend on a sub.

For good sq i would go sealed.....Also, if you are thinking alpine deff. sealed because that's what the company recommends.....But if you are looking for "loudest" then you gotta go ported ..... a perfect ported box should be made by looking at specs of the sub or else you won't like what you will be hearing.... :)

a bandpass box is the loudest and most efficient. it really depends what kind of music you listen to, id only go with ported if you like ur bass "woofy", kinda airy if you will, i like a sealed box cause of its tighter bass.
