I saw someone say in this forum that you can get an adapter to make the steering wheel controls on our cars work with an aftermarket h/u. Where can I get such a thing and what's the damage to my wallet. Thanks, ron

Re: new h/u, steering wheel controls
look in the modifications encyclopedia on the top, it's in there.
They run around $45. Try to get one that is made for your head unit if you can.2002 Silver Metallic A4 Firebird - All Options

Re: new h/u, steering wheel controls
i have this mod done to my car and if you want my opion on it is this if you can do it your self great go for it, if not becareful some places will say oh that will be about 75.00 to install. Its not hard and i can help you do it if you know the basics of wiring stereo's, also with the windows down and going above 20mph you can't use it, i dont know if its because of where i mounted the sensor or if its my steering wheel controls but with the windows up or me not moving it works great.\"its been long over due\"

Make sure your HU has an infrared remote, or else the adapter won't work.Don\'t Ever Judge Me
\'96 Firebird Y87 3.8L V6 5spd
--No mods as of yet, shoot me some ideas if ya want.
178,000 miles and counting
