i have 4 alpine 6 1/2 type s for about 3 years after installing my L7 i think they are way to quiet when i drop my top i cant hear my L7 and its really quiet i was woundering how deep can my 6 1/2 go, I have 2 1/4 and want more like 3 for different speakers thinking kicker 6 1/2 rs65? or any other suggestions i think those ar 2 3/4 deep half more then i have now

I think that might fit, but what I'm wonding is why you can't hear your sub...
What amp are you driving your sub with? The top down will eat alot of your sound either way but.

Only question beyond that is how much power are you giving the Alpines from what amp?

A step with enough power to a component set would be the way to go next though without a doubt.

Another option is midbass drivers in the back with good power.

i can hear it hitting just not when i am driving with the wind of a convertible it does not make it to me ears at 45+so i want better in car sound who amkes good midbass's? i am driving off the stock amp i am going to replace the amp and maby the speakers
