For all out SPL.... under the conditions you have set forth.... 2 Type-R's in a vented design or 2 L7's sealed. You don't have enough room to vent the L7's. The Type-R's will be a tad cheaper me thinks and might be the slightest bit louder. I'll tip my cap in that direction.

I live in stillwater OK and I run kicker you cant go rong with kicker.

I have frinds that work for kicker thay say comp vx is the same as
the solo but round good sound with killer ground pounding bass.

Fair enough.... but even if you just throw a different cone and basket on there.... it's an entirely different animal. The vette and Z28 both use the LS1 engine..... nuff said.:)

My vote is for Elemental Designs. The 13kv2 handles 600watts rms and comes with a 3 year warranty. Hard to beat it for the $. I can get you pricing if you like. I have two 13Ov2s in my camaro and love them.

eD is good but kinda pricey since they can only be bought directly from eD (as far as I know). If he is looking for cheap SPL, the L7 should be good. But this is an old post so I don't even know if he is still looking at a system build...

eD is not nearly as pricey as a L7. You can get eD from other outhorized dealers including me http://www.icixsound.com/vb/showthread.php?t=29601
