      Re: security light

The only thing I can think of is the "chip" in the key. You said you had the car for 3 weeks or it's been doing this for 3 weeks?

yes , keyless entry does not work, will this cause the light to stay on. (will get it fix this week )

the haynes manual says before removing the battery ,to do the lockout feature, but it doesn't say how.

I have had the same issue with my car for about 5 or 6 months. The light kind of buggs me, but I haven't had any luck trying to fix it. Cleaned keys, switched keys, etc. etc. but still can't figure out why it is coming on. However it still runs/starts fine.

what lockout feature are you talking about? or what page #?

one time i had the security light, then i reprogrammed or "flashed" my car's computer and it went off

it's what you have to do before you remove the battery

I've never had to do anything before disconnecting the battery.

                              Re: security light

alarm almost fix , it just beeps three times when i put the key on the on position and start the engine, the alarm light blinks like three time and stops and it keeps on doing it (blinking ), thinking about geting a new alarm system and the security light still stays on.
