I've been reading the mods encyclopedia and it is to my understanding that if you take out the factory hu and look at it from the back, the smaller wireing harness on the left is for just prewiring for an optional cd changer? I just wanted to know if that was the case cause i was wondering if I could just rip it out and install an adapter so i could plug my satellite radio or mp3 player into it. This could save me the $$$ for an aftermarket hu.

The smaller plug is for the CD changer. The mod ency is correct.
Pretty sure there is several adapters that allow you to do just what you are looking for. Can't remember off hand. Search this board. I know it's been brought up before.
