How can I disable my drl's? I take it that's what keeps my turn signal lights on all the time and I heard they light bulbs can blow and/or melt the clear corner housing? I also don't like the amber color on all the time either, so that'd be great to turn those off.

I just noticed condensation in my right clear corner too so I just need to drill 3 small holes at the bottom of it, correct? That will get the condensation out?

Thanks in advance for the help.

if im not mistaken, the fuse that controls those is tied into other things. i dont think there is any way of turning them off. its probably such a pita dont even bother. really, if it melts the clear corners then you should go storming back to whoever sold them to you and demand a refund. they should be able to engineer their product so that you shouldnt have to change anything.

pull your handbrake on one notch only. restart your car, and it will think its parked and no lights will come on unless you turn on the headlights or parking lights. but dont worry, one click of the handbrake isnt enough to take up the dead-space. the handbrake won't be grabbing.

Thats your best sure bet! I call it stealth mode! no lights what so ever. not even tail running lights. But dont worry all your lights like brakes, signals, and headlights still work just fine!

But then you have the parking light to deal with on the dash!! hehe

But i promiss the parking light wont melt a hole in your dash! haha!

Why would they care so much to ban them? I'll search though...thanks.

                Re: Problems with Clear Corners

i know this is an old thread but creating a new one is annoying with the same title.

I like my DRL's but want clear corners. Has anyone found a way for the two to work without the clear corners burning up?

Also which one burns up? Is it just the driver's side? or both sides?

Thanks for the info - I'm trying to find a way to keep both without hurting anything.

to prevent the same fate as the previous posters, what company/website did you purchase your clear corners from BLLDOGG? Thanks for the help!

                        Re: Problems with Clear Corners

here go to this website to disable your DRLs

                        http://www.xse.com/leres/ss/drl.html

just do what he says just unclip the C2 clip

Yes, removing the C2 connector will disable DRL and automatic headlights. It also prevents the ebrake switch from turning on the "BRAKE" light on your instrument cluster. And with a manual transmission, it disables the power hatch release.

                        THIS SHOULD BE A STICKY
