Ok guys i got a Alpine Unit model CDA-9853. I got it off my buddy for free to work on his car. It was a $350 HU about a year ago. anyway i hooked it up to my '96 Z28 and it won't play sound. The screen lights up and all that good stuff but no sound. I HAD a older Alpine unit in there before and it worked great. this one worked right before i pulled it outta his car today. Plugged it into mine and nothing. What i was thinking is the Bose Amp in my car isn't going on or something since my Z28 has Bose. Does anybody have Bose with a HU like this one that can point me in the right direction here. I don't see why it wouldn't work unless i have to hook in up somehow else to get the amp to go on. Thanks Guys~Cole~

Re: Alpine HU(CDA-9853) in *NO SOUND*
Nevermind, i figured it out. You have to use the Lead Wire(Amp turn on) to hook up to the wiring adapter wire that is blue. Turns on the Bose Amp. Hope that helps people in the future. ~Cole~2000 Grand Prix GTP- Bronzemist Metallic: K&N Fenderwell Intake,3.4\" Thrasher Pulley, v1.0 DHP PCM, 3\" Mandrel Bent DP,Ubend Delete,Dynomax SuperTurbos, 180* Thermostat.<br />Soon to come: ZZP SSIntercooler or N20 or both:)
