There's some times at night (when I'm parked, for example) when I'd like to turn my headlights off. Is there a simple way to do it, or do I need to get in and make some sort of disconnect myself? If I have to do it myself, has anyone else done it so I can minimize the thinking process of this ordeal? ;)

Before starting your car at night just pull your emergency brake (hand brake)..your headlights won't turn on untill you lower the emergency brake..... :)
if you want to turn your lights off when you park, just hit the key on and off really fast, your car wolnt stall, and the lights will shut off (you have to have your ebrake up though)
On a car without T-Tops start at the rear part where the door window meets the sail panel and pull inward at about a 30 deg. angle till you get to the A-Pillar then pull inward at a 45 Deg. angle. With a T-Top car there is a screw near the top of the A-Pillar. Remove the screw and grab the A-Pillar trim piece at the top and pull toward the inside at about a 45 deg. angle. work your way down to the dash. It's held in place with clips. As for the upper dash, there are some clips and velcro that hold it down.
Caution!!!
The upper dash panel is very brittle and prone to cracking so go slow and do not bend it or force it much or it will crack!
As you remove this there is a sensor (sun sensor) located at the de-frost vent.
Just pull this lose, it's held on with a clip.
QUICK MOD:
If you unplug the sensor from the harness and jump the connector with a paper clip and tape it up with electrical tape this will disable the automatic head lights allowing you to control your headlights with the headlight switch!
