I have a CDX-CA650X HU. It has RCA inputs on the back that i used an adapter to a miniplug to hook up to my m:robe(mp3) but i couldn't actually figure out how to activate it. I tried joining a carstereo forum but they were no help because they changed the subject and replies kept getting deleted by the admin.. does anyone here know?

thanks. I tried switching through the sources, but i didn't see anything called TV, but i will check again tomorrow and try a few more things, i didn't even think about online manuals..do you have a link to that? Thanks again.

u might have to go into the menu and turn your aux on i know with my alpine i had to go into the menu but most are like that i know kenwood is too so is pioneer so try goin in to the menu. GOOD LUCK!Comment

I was messing around with it earlier today, and after reading the section about it in the manual, it told me to go to cd and use the mode button to switch to aux, but the mode button is disabled when it's set to CD

what different sources are there when you are skipping through them? CD and radio, whichever i was using most recently (ie FM1) then i use the mode button to go to FM2, FM3, AM1, AM2. I couldn't find anything in the menu relating to the aux either.Comment

I am using a stereo miniplug to AV cables. (red/white) it is plugged into the inputs on the back of the headunit. You are correct that there are no different modes in the "CD" source. And it's not a volume issue, becuase when i don't have a cd in the unit, i cannot select the "CD" source, and when i do have a cd in it, i can't switch to the inputs.
I'm going to keep messing with it, but so far i haven't had any success..
