Hey guys, just bought a new HU. I got a Pioneer DEH-P4800MP. I'm lookin at getting the Alpine Type S 170A for my front and something really cheap for the back. I want to power the speakers from the HU so Im pretty sure i have to rewire it (plan to buy an amp and sub later). Could someone let me know how hard it is to rewire it and how to do it? Thanks

Re: New HU
Wiring the front speakers is probably the hardest thing to do in any car.... not that it's hard.... just that its harder then installing a headunit, sail panels speakers, running power wire/RCAs, etc. All because of the damn rubber wire boot going into the door. I recommend a coat hanger to help hook your speaker wire through there. As for how do do the whole install.... pretty self explanatory. Unscrew trim panels, run the speaker wire under the carpet and to the speakers. There is a walk through on how to remove the door panels in our modification encyclopedia.
