    i want to make a fiberglass subwoofer box to fit in the spot for the t-tops in the back i was just wondering if anyone had ever messed around with fiberglass and if so to give me some ideas.

    are you wanting to do just the bottom part fiberglass and the top mdf? cuz there's a member on this board who has done it. i'm sure he has a bunch of pics of the process. i made a FG amp rack and am gettin ready to start on the FG subwoofer box for my 2 12's. Its really not that hard to work with at all. Just intimidating. Just get ready to sand ALOT depending on the finish you want. 40 grit sandpaper FTMFW!

          ahh yeah that was it! dang dude i couldnt imagine glassing in that wheel well like that. i bout passed out glassing outisde of the car. lol

          but yeah for the original poster. you could do what he did or keep going and do the whole thing.

            the box is going in the t-top spot i want to make a box to fit in there out of mdf then make more or les a cover to go over it to make it smooth and give it some curve

              ^^^read that, it should help you out some.

              But i get what you want to do. yeah just make the bottom part out of mdf. make your speaker rings, hot glue em in place w/ some wooden dowels, wrap it in fleece, resin, and start your glassing.
