  • How did you mount your IPod?

I've been looking through mounts and the one I see most often is an arm that holds your IPod at one end and plugs into the cig lighter at the other end.

    Here's an example:

I'm wondering if this will work since the auto shifter is so close to the cig lighter and the e-brake blocks the secondary DC source.

I'm looking for something clean, not the ****ty suction-cup or cup holder mounts.

    Anyone got some pics?

Get industrial velcro and you can put it anywhere. That's what I did and it is cheap and lets me put it where I want. Its light enough so it will stay and not fall off. U don't always have to buy something expensive

Most of the FM Transmitter's are junk!!! Even the Itrips are junk, they are fuzzy most of the time... I had 2 different ones and returned them both. My g/f has an Itrip and the sound quality is terrible on that too.

do you really find it neccesary to mount it?, i have an iPod interface.. much much better than a fm transmitter.

i didnt mount my ipod, i have a cable that comes from the glove box and just plug my ipod in, it can be in my center console, or seat , or glove box... wherever.
