      Re: eD Rear Speakers

Hey guys I found the original post over at icixsound that gave me the idea of 700's in the mid. http://www.icixsound.com/vb/showthread.php?t=18272
That guy had a write up on the intall of the eu-700's but i couldn't find it. It will give you a better idea of how it will install. Intead of a wooden ring like he has i just used 4 thick plastic washers to space the speaker since the magnet hits inside if it goes all the way in.

It won't sound good if you space it out and don't make a good seal. I can beat any of their forum pricing if you ppl would talk to me. But whatever.

I asked you how much you wanted for 2 of them along with the spacers, but you never replied.

I didn't see it-sorry. This board is so dead, I rarely come in here. You have to contact with me thru e-mail or phone calls if you want something.

Well, I just went to e-mail you, and noticed your e-mail address. Are you the one that sent me the PMs on ICIXSound? I just e-mailed subthump asking abut some stealth enclosures. I'll e-mail them again asking about the eu-700's

I plan on putting edead around the back of it sealing off the huge openess behind the mid speaker, whould this improve sound? So sealing behind and using a solid ring would get a better sound?? Its only spaced out just enough to keep the magnet from hitting the back.

                    Yep. You'll like the 10s.
Anything you can do to deaden the metal to which the speaker mounts is a plus. You could also go the extra step and get some deadening spray and coat the inside of the rear speaker area. Mounting to a mdf baffle is best, but if you can get a goo seal with the e-dead, then that would be adequate as well.
