Two Type-R's by far. The slight increase in excursion the Type-X has cannot compete against double the cone area. Type-X would probably sound better bumpin it though... If you have the room, Type-Rs FTW.
Im not into rap or hip hop really i just like the kick in the chest everyonce in a while:rock: Thats why i like 10s more than 12s. So 2 R's would be better SQ too? My whole system is going to be based on SQ now,
Front: Infinity Components 6.5
Mid: eD Eu700s with Infinity tweeters
Rear: 4" Infinty Components
Sub(s): ??
Mid amp:?? 500watt
Sub Amp:?? 1000watt
On a side note about how much does the monsoon amp put to the mid speakers/subs? Do i really need an amp for the Eu's?
TIA

its not a question of quality. its a question of surface area. two tens are gonna move more air always, reguardless of the futhest excursion on any woofer.
save money, go with the type r's. they bang. but if you want sq, go with the single 10. also, the box plays a big role. go to a local shop and have them custom make you one to your specs. and if they cant do it, your at the worng shop. custom is the way to go, trust me. i have been through two pre fab and about 3 custom ones.
Yeah we just got my brothers dual 10" Type R's in tonight, and they where amazing!

I disagree how would smaller woofers move more air??
and I had 2 12" type r's and a jl 500/1 in my old camaro. It was loud as hell and sounded great.
I'm not a fan of the x's. They just dont seem to be worth what they cost.
