i can't imagine it would be different from home theater to car audio.

It's two speakers going off the same channel. Like a mid-range and a tweeter hooked together normally with a built in cross over.

think it would be safe if i disconnected the stock speakers and put in these 2x 2-way speakers?
it doesnt say the wattage or Ohm limit

2 way speakers are fine to replace stock speakers. If they are car speakers, they are most likely rated at 4 ohms, and in some cases (like bose) 2 ohms.

If you don't know the wattage rating on the speakers, you might want to find that out before you install them, but as long as you don't turn it up too loud, even if it is rated below your amp output, you won't blow them.

I think it's safe to say most car speakers are rated way above what most headunits output is. Unless you have them hooked to an amp you probably won't get up to the rating. A lot of speakers for cars are rated at like 100+ watts, and most HU's put out like 50ish per channel.
