  • Cd player question

I have a 1996 Camaro and was wondering if I can just wire up a new head unit with a wire harness or do I have to run new wires for the speakers. I had a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix SE and I had to do that, so I was just wondering if I would need to do that with this car. Thank you for any help.

No rewiring need. Just swap it in.

      Re: Cd player question

I just tried putting in my cd player and I have power but no sound from speakers? Are you sure it doesn't need to be wired seperately because of the Bose amp?

doesnt need to be rewired, it should work just fine if you did the harness right, but the bose sucks, just swap out the whole system and rewire
