  • Best route for power wire

I am getting ready to wire my system up in my 2000 camaro. I am just wondering what my best route for running the power wire from the battery into the cabin would be? Any reply would be greatly appreciated since i am at a stand still.

Re: Best route for power wire

Check out the faq section for a write up, but basically just unbolt the computer, slide it to the side, and put the power wire through the grommet that was previously hidden by the computer.

Thatswhat i was looking for. I havenever removed my computer before, i searched but did not find any threads on how to remove it. If you all could tell me how,..that would be great, also,.. is there any risk i should be aware of while doing this?

Re: Best route for power wire

when you run it through the firewall, remove the plastic molding next along the door/carpet edge of the passenger side of the car. that seems to be a good route for a power wire - just under the carpet.
