since my parents wont get me the SSRA and whisper lid for christmas, im getting a system instead, heres what i might be looking at getting,
DEH-P5800MP Pioneer Head Unit
Two TS-W106C/DVC Pioneer Premier 10 inch Subwoofers
GM-7200M Pioneer 800 watt Amp
Subthump Enclosure
would this be a good sound quality system?
Not only should it have good sound quality, but it will kick if you want it to. I had one of those subs in my old car and i loved it. Glad to see you went with an all Pioneer setup. Just make sure you use quality wiring.
or you can order your hu from crutchfield and get the panasonic c8303u (color screen, the works) for 200 bucks instead of the pioneer headunit.
I almost got that deck but then looked through crutchfield and saw the great deal on that panasonic deck, and couldnt pass it up. Im very happy with it by the way. Just a suggestion... but yea, that looks like a good setup you have put together there if you get it.
It'll be okay. But won't hit like crazy. If you look harder at the specs, that amp is only 360w rms x1 @2ohms. Split that between two subs and that's only 180w continuous each sub. That's why I hate it when companies flash those big Peak Power ratings everywhere. Doesn't mean a lot but looks really good. Marketing I guess. I could build you a better setup. The head unit is cool. The rest of it needs some tweaking. Pioneer is okay for some things, but amps and subs are not that great. Do what you want, but I can help you do much better for roughly the same.
how much would that cost with the headunit and sub enclosure?
oooh, i thought you were talkin 800 for just subs and amp. it is 1103 for the rf and alpine one and, 1116 for the kicker one. both found off of www.onlinecarstereo.com
EDIT: those 1100's were including subs, amp, box, and headunit.
i looked at that subthump package and it says it is a t-top box, my question is would it fit in a coupe
Yes. Trunks are the same obviously.... and I'm sure mega could give you the regular well box without the cutout for t-tops if you wanted.... *hint* *hint* mega :D
