allright guys...'nother question. I just replaced my alternator two nights ago, because it went up on my way into town. now, with the new one on it, whenever the engine hits 4,000 rpm, the voltmeter drops down to 12 volts, and the lights dim, but when it goes below 4k, it powers back up. I got a 96' with only a ram air hood, and a flowmaster 80 series...Thanks!

Re: Alternator question...
if you bought anything other than a brand new ac delco, you got screwed on quality.

Re: Alternator question...
Are you sure it was brand spankin' new? Check around it and make sure there are no signs of usage prior to you installing it. Autozone and Advanced Auto and places of that nature reuse parts that were brought back unless it is a complete DOA.
