so this is on my other car.. i have a 99 firebird but on my 99 civic i keep blowing fuses from my soundsystem... its ridiculus. i have a alpine cda 9835 n a jbl gto 1201.1 n 2 12" alpine type R's for a system (was in the bird now in the civic because bird is in storage for winter) there are fuses in my engine bay for the radio its a 7.5 amp fuse n it just keeps blowing on me. now i was wondering would it be safe to up the ampage on that fuse to say like 15 or 20?... has any one done that before?

Don't up the amps on the fuse w/o upgrading the wiring. That's how fires get started. Either your system is pulling too much power for the wiring, or there is a short somewhere.2002 Silver Firebird A4<br />T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels<br />Bone Stock

wtf, a 7.5 amp fuse for that system? I had 1 10 and I was running with a 20Amp fuse, and still blew it occasionally :P How big's your wiring?~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~
