so this is on my other car.. i have a 99 firebird but on my 99 civic i keep blowing fuses from my soundsystem... its ridiculus. i have a alpine cda 9835 n a jbl gto 1201.1 n 2 12" alpine type R's for a system (was in the bird now in the civic because bird is in storage for winter) there are fuses in my engine bay for the radio its a 7.5 amp fuse n it just keeps blowing on me. now i was wondering would it be safe to up the ampage on that fuse to say like 15 or 20?... has any one done that before?

Re: blown 4 radio fuses
Don't up the amps on the fuse w/o upgrading the wiring. That's how fires get started. Either your system is pulling too much power for the wiring, or there is a short somewhere.2002 Silver Firebird A4
T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels
Bone Stock

Re: blown 4 radio fuses
wtf, a 7.5 amp fuse for that system? I had 1 10 and I was running with a 20Amp fuse, and still blew it occasionally :P How big's your wiring?~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~
