Well, finally got my subs and amp hooked up. But, whenever I turn off the HU, switch from radio to cd (or vice-versa), or move forward in the CD, my subs will play constantly. When i turn off the HU, it does a good bye thing, and hen shuts-off. Once it shuts off, it's all good and they turn off, but while it's doing the bye thing, they sit there and blair(sp). What wrong? or is it my HU? It's a JVC not sure on the model # ATM, but will get it tonight.

Re: Quick Question (again)
Do your subs start blaring with deep pulses of bass, or the music that is playing as you go to turn if off starts blaring?
If the music is getting loud, check your power wire and reset your cd player. If it is deep pulsating bass thumps, then you need to check your rca cables for any burn marks on them, or possible cuts in them(replace, and see if the problem stops.)

Re: Quick Question (again)
It sounds to me like it could be either a weak ground: try metering your ground location and make sure it is reading a strong ground, if not try a new ground location. You may also be having a power interference problem; the fix to that is a noise filter, or make sure your RCA's aren't ran too close to a main power wire.

Re: Quick Question (again)
it'll play just deep pulses of bass. I'll check my ground. As for the RCA thing, my RCA's are about 2ft long. My HU doesn't have RCA outs, so I bought a line level converter and spliced into the back speakers. The previous owner had already done something similar to this, so it was very basic, and the wires were already ran. I've got speaker wire coming right to the edge in the back (before the well), then I hooked up my Converter there and plugged in my RCA's. It sounds freaking incredible, but I'd like to be able to skip songs on my CD without heering constant bass until it reads the next one.~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~

Re: Quick Question (again)
Sounds like a bad amp ground to me. Also, let me guess..... you're using an ign +12V source for your amp's turn on signal? You have a firebird?
EDIT: And you're in Vero Beach Florida? I'm in Melbourne. If this really gets out of hand, lemme know.Last edited by 96firebird311; 01-01-2007, 10:18 AM.

Re: Quick Question (again)
Make sure amp ground is super solid. Bare metal to metal. No paint or dirt.
