In a camaro, what is the most place to put sound deadening material like dynomat? I want to know if it's cost effective enough to reduce road noise and better the stereo sound without dynomatting the entire car and spending hundreds..

    Re: Sound deadening

My friend and I used Herculiner truck bed linerfrom Autozone as a sound deadener in his truck. We just took out his seats and carpet and rolled it on. It actually worked really well and, for the price, covers a larger area than dynomat.... Just a though.

As for the best place to put it... Im not sure enough to help you on that one. I know for me though it seems the most noticable amount of road noise comes in through my door.

There are plenty of dynomat knock-offs out there.... some great, some no so much. But for a hundred bucks, you can buy enough to do the entire car. I would say the trunk area is the most important place. Trying to knock out as much exhaust noise as I can.

Supposing I buy something like this:
        http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=52
How many square feet is enough to do the whole car besides behind the dash.. mostly everything that is carpeted, doors and around the speakers, and roof too..

or would something like this be more price effective:
        http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=53

basically how many square feet is it to do the whole car..

Measure it out... I mean you can double or even triple stack the stuff, so it really depends on how much you feel is enough.

Yes it will kinda work as an insulator also.
