    I would reccomend that you do NOT plug the hole, it's there to drain any water that gets into the antenna assembly. If you don't want to drill the hole that was mentioned earlier just get some extra rubber hose and run it down to the rubber grommet that's in the body underneath the antenna.

    As for the power wire; are you using a GM antenna? If so, you'll need to hook the remote signal wire, which just tells the antenna to go up when the radio is turned on, and down when it's turned off.
