im gonna get this...my p/s motor is about to crap out...it gets really slow when approaching the top. my friend has had this done to his p/s motor and it works like a dream. gonna get this done very soon
I think I've been saying this for 3 or 4 years now, the motors are fine...the only thing that goes bad with them are the thermistors in the top plastic piece. goto radioshack, spend a dollar and solder it in...and your good as new.........
I will bring this back from the dead one last time, if noone listens to me this time I give up. Full right up below.
Hey Nikon, you wouldn't happen to have the P/N of those thermistors would you?
Now Playing: \'99 Pewter Firebird, stock, bone stock, and nothing but stock, so help me God!
Comming attractions: K&N Filter, Lid Mod, Intake Bellows Smooth Pipe Mod.
I dream about: Forced Induction (TC or SC) or NOX (or both!)
Local window lift motor sales, I have never heard of a problem or lack of expected performance, ebay window lift motors, I have heard a LOT of complaints- not to say that all are complaints, just that there are many of them.
The motors are ok, for some time at least, its the integrity of the stock wiring for the passenger window that fails for these cars. The polyswitch removal or replacement can somewhat free up some resistance in the circuit and allow for better window operation, but the motors fail so much because it gets to much heat way to often with the stock wiring. Allowing for better current flow to the thermistor and the motor can keep temps down without having to remove this, although sometimes it is just to late either the brushes in the motor are worn to far or the thermistor/polyswitch has been 'cooked' to much and is easy to trip.

Yes, our kit will allow the window to last longer, and work better. Several links have been added to the website along with customer testimonies. Fifty bucks is the cheapest I could make this kit with local vendors and we supply more than is nessasary in each kit as well as great instructions.
A local lifetime warranty on a window motor is easier dealt with than having to ship things back and forth. The optimum choice is to install our kit with a new motor, although many people have enjoyed the extended life and proper operation of their factory window motor there after.
If your kit lasts makes the motor last longer, when it dies, do you have to buy another kit?
Installed my new window motor with the autotrix fix worked great for a week then did a head/can swap. so the car sat for 2 weeks and now the damn window doesn't work. I really don't want to take the door panel of again. ARGG. makes me mad. I can even hear it click when I push the window switchs.

No, the kit stays in place...once it is there, that is all.

My driver side window does that ......... odd
Sounds as if your window motor is dead and needs to be replaced; or there is another un-seen problem like your window switch being cracked and causing an intermittant open.

yeah, I just bought a motor for it and I will replace the other and probably put one of ya'lls window kits in it so it will work because right now, my passeneger window isnt shutting fully and is slower then I am ... and I use a walker, which I am now on my 3rd in the past 3 months (poop)
Go for it guys, I got mine and installed it already. Made a very noticable differece..... especially in the heat of the day. I could post up a video difference like they have on their site.
